Initially, this could look like a very straightforward project, however gaining approval for a garage conversion in a city center location with existing planning restrictions can be tricky. In terms of town planning wins this was a real achievement, however, the thing that really makes this project special was our clients' feedback.
I shopped around before finding DAK Draughting for my internal garage conversion. I knew my case would be tricky as there were conditions attached to the property and many firms chose to take advantage of that in their quotes but DAK seemed the best value for money.
Craig from DAK called me straight back when I made an enquiry. He provided expert advice on my case and was very informative about how the process works and was very honest of the likelihood of a successful outcome. He advised that while they could make the architectural drafts, a further parking survey would be required and referred me to an excellent Planning Consultant.
I went ahead knowing all the facts and that my case really could go either way. DAK sent a very polite gentleman to conduct a property survey for the drawings and scheduled it at a time that suited me. They also provided a staggered payment schedule which was handy to have as it helped me a budget for my project.
I was furnished with high-quality drawings and any revisions I wanted to make were promptly redrafted and sent back to me.
My application was successful on the first attempt! I'm very grateful to Craig at DAK and the Planning Consultant for their collaborative effort in getting me a positive outcome!
